Hi Hunter,

Ha ha, I remember my own thoughts about the one button mouse, too! But you’ll be glad to know that your favorite multi-buttoned pointing device will work on a Mac.

Plus, there are no more floppies! (I still remember to good ol’ 5.25″ disks, and remember snickering about the “old days” when they used 8″ floppies?)

Catherine, that restarting thing isn’t unique to Vista. I have XP Professional at work, and the thing I hate about it most is that I’ll come in to start my day and find that it decided to restart to install security updates. God forbid they ask if I’m willing to lose all the windows I had open.

Things I’ve heard about Vista have made me start thinking about Macs for the first time. I just want my computer to work, you know. To be honest though, I didn’t like Macs when I tried them in the school computer labs in the late 90s. You might laugh at my top two complaints though: (1) only one mouse button, and (2) no ability to manually eject the floppy.

Catherine, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed when you do.

Due to my raving about my Mac, another long-time PC user friend also bought one — the power of word of mouth at work.

Hi Nez – I would reslly like an Apple next time. At the moment I have Sony Vaio, which is probably better than some I’ve had.

But my last one was broken – accidental damage, so I claimed on my insurance and they were going to charge me heaps extra for an Apple.

And with it came Windows Vista – I had no choice. I hate it. You know, it actually decides to switch off your computer all by itself when you’re in the middle of something really important, because it has decided to update. It sucks.

So next time, I will definitely be getting an Apple Mac.
